Cambodia Casinos

There is a fascinating story to the Cambodia casinos that lie just over the dividing line from nearby Thailand, where gambling den gambling is not allowed. Eight gambling halls are established in a generally tiny area in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia casinos is in an excellent spot, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest gambling locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a huge business with Thai laborers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The astonishing capital gained from the casinos ranges from $7.5 million to over 12.5 million, and there are a number of limitations constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be largely Thai; however, financial sources are cryptic. The borders are formally open from 09:00 to 17:00, and despite the fact visas are apparently needed to pass, there are methods and means around this, as is true of many borders.

The 1st Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only a single gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored bateau gambling hall, highlights one hundred and fifty slot machines and 60 table games. The Naga gambling den never closes with forty two tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of 21, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown soon followed. A total of one hundred and fifty slot machines and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machines and sixty eight gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights 300 slot machine games and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and 96 gaming tables, including 87 baccarat banque (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and 66 of the common table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, again in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and ninety seven games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-inclusive vacation and hotel compound that highlights numerous amenities aside from the gambling den, which contains ten thousand square feet of 130 slots and eighty eight tables.
