If you enjoy a cocktail from time to time, keep your cash at home if you are going to do your consuming in a casino. I’m serious. Leave your purse, your money belt, and leave all cash, plastic credit and checks at home. Pack only the cash you intend to use on drinks, tips and few dollars you intend to squander and keep the remainder behind.
Cynical? Not really. Just realistic. You could have a success following a inebriated night out with your buddies and be blessed sufficiently to hook a long toss at a on fire craps game. Keep that adventure because it is as short-lived as it gets if you regularly consume alcohol and gamble. These activities just do not go well together.
Keeping your money out of the casino might be a little bit drastic, but defensive measures for dramatic behavior is compulsory. If you gamble to succeed, then do not drink alcohol and bet. If you can afford to blow your cash without a concern, then drink all the free beer your stomach can handle, but don’t pack plastic credit and checkbooks to throw into the mix of going after losses after your drunk as a skunk brain loses everything!
Permit me to carry this a single step more. Don’t consume alcohol and then hop on the web to gamble in your preferred casino either. I love to cocktail from the comfort of my condominium, but since I am connected through Neteller, Firepay and have plastic credit in close proximity, I can’t drink and bet.
Why? Even though I do not drink a lot, when I drink alcohol, it is absolutely enough to cloud my common sense. I gamble, so I don’t consume alcohol when gambling. If you are a drinker, don’t wager at the same time. Both make for a ferocious, and crazy, drink.
