Learning From My Gaming Blunders

[ English ]

I have been wagering on the internet or at land based casinos for many years. I have been taught, the addiction usually will grab a hold of you and you will not even see it up until you are bankrupt. Notably if you are on a profit streak. I have gone through uncounted hundreds of dollars in only a short period of time and still on occasion, I can go a bit too far. It feels like you are just enjoying yourself till you choose to track your squanderings and the guilt settles in, and then you continue telling yourself "I will be able to gain it back" ad infinitum. It doesn’t work. Then you feel sick to your stomach and the more you attempt the faster you lose.

When you see that you are in the black, Remain on the UP! When you start to lose, do not convince yourself, "well only one more" a number of times, believe in me, this scheme barely ever works. Say you plan on playing on one armed bandits, have a figure set aside before starting your wagering. DO NOT go over this boundary, regardless of how tempting. If you happen to succeed, put that in a separate pot. Do not wager your payouts no matter what. Once you have played through your initial predetermined limit, stop. Depart, regardless if it is on the internet or in a land based gambling den, don’t stay at the tables or machines. Always keep in mind, there will be other days, other times. Clearly, this method usually will work for any game that you bet on, be it bingo, poker, video poker, keno, blackjack or any other game.

Remember, betting should be entertaining not burdensome, sickening work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you do not belong at the casinos. If you cannot afford the squanderings, do not ever begin.
